...for Palre vous Frances?

Don't hold me to the spelling on the title *smile*...but I just had to share this link. I have not checked it out myself, other than a cursory glance, but it looks promising.

This site offers free language courses. You read that right, FREE!

Here is what they say:

Welcome to fsi-language-courses.com, the home for language courses developed by the Foreign Service Institute. These courses were developed by the United States government and are in the public domain.

This site is dedicated to making these language courses freely available in an electronic format. This site is not affiliated in any way with any government entity; it is an independent, non-profit effort to foster the learning of worldwide languages. Courses here are made available through the private efforts of individuals who are donating their time and resources to provide quality materials for language learning.

If you check it out or know anything about this site, please post a comment!!

Since you asked . . .

This would be a very thorough course for an adult who is extremely motivated to learn a second language. For most people, however, this would be rather painful and they simply wouldn't continue with it for very long. Maybe a bit like having to master chemistry in order to learn how to bake cookies. It is a very unnatural way to learn a language. (That's not that it doesn't have its place.) But the average person, and certainly any young students, would much rather learn from a program that let them jump in and start using the language for some real communication fairly soon.

(professional advice from Dr. Peterson) :)

Thank you, Dr. Peterson! (and thank you too for not correcting my spelling *smile*).

Blessings to you -
