for the Firsts of Life

As the parents of children ranging in age from 9 to 18, we don't get to experience many 'firsts' anymore - which I've said before! Yes, we still have plenty, Lord willing, on the horizon, but they are few and far between. So it is with great pleasure, I get to share our latest 'first' with you!

The story begins with a boy and a job. It continues through 'man, I don't want to go to work today' through, 'Mom, can you take me to the bank to deposit my paycheck?' Along the way, there is some frivolous spending, an occasional tithe, the overabundance of gifts bestowed upon his siblings (and parents!), and a certain amount of maturing as the boy grows more firmly into young man. Through it all he manages to sock away and save up for his FIRST...

Set of Keys!!!!

...to his very first TRUCK!!!

Soon, he will be able to experience a whole new set of firsts - as they pertain to HIS vehicle - such as first oil change, first gas card (and bill!), first insurance payment, first new set of tires...and so on and so on!

Please join with us in covering Jacob in prayer, as he prepares to start the engine and travel down this new road in life!
