for something a little Amish from a new Author!!

Thomas Nelson Publishing recently allowed me the privilege of reviewing "A Man of His Word" by their fabulous new author, Kathleen Fuller.


You may be thinking, 'not another Amish book', but this one will on its own feet. It follows the story of Moriah, a young girl with eyes only for her beau - who soon becomes her husband. Of course there is drama involved in this seemingly simple vow of to have and to hold! However, while most Amish novels will bring in an outsider, rarely do they portray an Amishman leaving the fold - especially someone already married!

We follow Moriah on her heart-wrenching journey of a life of forced singleness, since the Amish do not recognize divorce. There are many twists and turns in the journey - and many life lessons from commitment to self-control.

This book has more than meets the eye, and I think Ms. Fuller did a fantastic job! I truly enjoyed this book, and look for next book in the Hearts of Middlefield series.
