for the County Fair

Another year of fair has come and gone...and what a grand time we had. The kids once again did a wonderful job with all their projects.

Here is a list of their accomplishments:

David:

Grand Champion Fitting & Showing Poultry Division
Class Reserve Champion Breed Class for Lillian his chicken
Blue Ribbon and White Ribbon for the other chicken and rooster he brought.
2 Blue Ribbons - for his Legos Creations

Marlee:

Reserve Champion Fitting & Showing Poultry Division
Class Champion Breed Class for her Rhode Island Red
2 Blue Ribbons for the other two chickens she brought

Blue Ribbon Fitting & Showing Swine Division
2 Red Ribbons for Market Class for Spout and Ebory

2 Blue Ribbons for Market Animal Judging and Horse Judging

Red Ribbon Breed Class for Job, her rabbit
Red Ribbon Rabbit Judging

2 Blue Ribbons for the craft projects she brought - one was a Tea Towel she embroidered and the other was her Jesus/Nicodemus Shadow Box she made earlier this year.

Jacob:

Blue Ribbon Fitting & Showing Swine Division
2 Blue Ribbons in the Market Class for Pig 1 & Pig 2 (affectionately called 'Brownie and Shadow' by Marlee)

Along with all the animal showing going on, and the rodeo - David had a blast visiting with Bullwhackin' Kass and her Pioneer Camp to educate the kids on the Pioneer Days and more importantly the role the Oxen played.

Now for some pictures:

When asked what she brings to fair, Victoria replies, "My siblings!" It appears this little cowpoke did a great job at fair with her 'entries'...*smile*!
